A 1958 mixed-use building in downtown Piraeus, owned by Hellenic Properties, was transformed into a 33-key urban boutique hotel by AVW Architecture in 2023. The redesign reinterprets the existing shell through clean geometry, timber screens and a distinctive night-time lighting scheme, turning the building into a new corner landmark within the dense urban fabric. The project received the International Property Award for Best New Small Hotel Construction & Design in Greece, and today operates as Twinn, Downtown Piraeus, contributing to the regeneration of the city’s historic commercial core.
