Remaining a proud supporter of Open House Athens for the 12th consecutive year, Vakalo Art & Design College once again organized the “Open Your Portfolio” competition as part of this year’s event. Through the initiative, the College awarded scholarships for its MA Architectural Design programme, reaffirming its commitment to fostering emerging creative talent and advancing excellence in the field of interior architecture.
The competition welcomed both professional and student portfolios in architecture, interior design, product design, spatial design, landscape architecture, architectural lighting design, and scenography. Entries were evaluated by members of Vakalo’s Academic Board and the Department of Interior Architecture, together with representatives of the Open House Athens organizing committee. As in previous years, the quality of submissions was exceptionally high. In recognition of this outstanding standard, the College awarded six scholarships for the MA Architectural Design programme, with a total value of €16,875.
A full scholarship worth €8,250 was awarded to Nikos Pissas, a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
A 50% tuition scholarship, valued at €4,125, was awarded to Petros Stavrou, a graduate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
A €1,500 tuition scholarship was awarded to Eirini Minetou, currently a student at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
In addition, three €1,000 tuition scholarships were awarded to Marilena Papathanasiou, Elisso Mikeli, and Valia Chouli.
