MITSIS N’U PIRAEUS PORT

MITSIS N’U PIRAEUS PORT

The Mitsis N’U Piraeus Port Hotel, designed by Divercity Architects, is a reconstruction of the former Metaxa distillery building at the port of Piraeus and includes 101 rooms. The distillery was founded in 1885 by Spyros Metaxas, who, together with his brother, acquired the machinery of an old distillery in Piraeus.
The design of the new envelope aims to aesthetically and functionally upgrade the existing structure, while the triangular projections of the main façade were developed to optimize the rooms’ views towards the port and the sea. The interior design focuses on spatial organization, with a colour palette inspired by the sea, natural light, and the amber tone of Metaxa. Works by contemporary Greek artists enrich the interiors, creating a hospitality experience that brings together history, art, and place.
