The renovation of a 115 sq.m. apartment in Kolonaki, located in a 1950s apartment building, was completed in 2025 by Plaini and Karahalios Architects and is based on preserving the apartment’s original, densely articulated layout. The architectural intention was to highlight the existing spatial logic of the apartment, emphasize the distinct colour identity of each room, and create a cohesive narrative through custom-built elements. The design responds to contemporary functional needs while reinterpreting the memory of Athenian domestic architecture of the 1950s.
