For the 11th consecutive year, Vakalo Art & Design College participated in Open House Athens by organizing the “Open your Portfolio” competition and awarding scholarships for the MA in Architectural Design program, consistently supporting young people’s creativity as well as the professional prestige of interior architecture.
As every year, the competition was open to professional and student projects in architecture, interior design, product design, spatial design, landscape architecture, architectural lighting, and scenography. The submitted portfolios were evaluated by members of the Vakalo School’s management and Interior Architecture department, as well as members of the Open House Athens organizing committee. Although initially only one full scholarship was planned, the School’s management decided to award scholarships totaling €17,150 to 6 candidates due to the particularly high quality of the submissions.
The full scholarship for the MA in Architectural Design, worth €8,100, is awarded to Rafail Delakis.
A 50% tuition scholarship (worth €4,050) is awarded to Anastasios Zouvelos.
Additionally, three scholarships worth €1,500 each are awarded to Ioanna Andrioti, Maria Mavromichali, and Ioanna Barmpouteli.
Finally, an honorary mention in the form of a €500 scholarship is awarded to Artemis Kokkinou.
